In September 2024, I was thrilled to see the launch of EngageArundel, an initiative I helped conceptualize in response to the overwhelming success of our first Community Association Summit earlier in the year. That summit brought together nearly 100 community leaders—from HOAs, condo associations, improvement groups, property managers, and others dedicated to building more robust, sustainable communities. It was a powerful experience, filled with half-day sessions designed to equip residents with the knowledge and tools to navigate county government better.
Inspired by the energy and enthusiasm from that event, we created EngageArundel to continue the momentum. The goal is simple: to bring residents together through online and in-person events, offering platforms to learn about county government resources and how to access them.
EngageArundel includes various ways to stay involved, such as webinars, newsletters, informational sessions, summits, community events, and online resources that are easily accessible to everyone.
The initiative’s core mission is to increase transparency and accountability, boost civic engagement, build more partnerships, and foster stronger, more connected communities. I’m excited to see how EngageArundel will continue to empower residents and strengthen the bond between the community and our local government.
